Marc Stockman always adhered to the traditions of
the art of engraving, which he viewed as a collaborative venture.
Over 300 engravings punctuate the course of his artistic career, on wood in different cuts (both along, and against the grain), on poplar and pear tree wood.
While Marc Stockman was himself responsible for carrying out the full process of producing these engravings up to the final printing stage, it was his wife Monique who wrote the poems that accompany them, from 1967 to 1970.
