Marc Stockman (1937-1983). Born in Kortrijk (Courtrai), Belgium, died in France aged 46.

An artist as fiercely independent as prolific, Stockman produced more than a thousand works on canvas, as well as around ten thousand drawings and engravings.

Around half of these works of art belong to about a hundred private collections in Belgium and France, while the rest are to be found in studio collection.

Most of his works have been displayed at 20-odd exhibitions, over the period from 1964 to 1996.

This website does not claim to be exhaustive, but rather to provide an insight into the evolution of the work of a short life’s work, by showing reproductions of over a hundred of his works.
